About Raven
Background
Raven J Hart wears many hats as an author, nurse, and baker. She and her husband love small-town living, spending time with their grandkids, and attending St. Louis Cardinals' ball games and church activities. When Raven isn't writing she enjoys travelling. She enjoys finding small restaurants and diners to try out. Raven is an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention after her son died from suicide in 2017.
Writing roots
In 2010, after her oldest child graduated high school, Raven took a break from nursing and worked as a reporter for a local newspaper. She fell in love with writing and decided to write a novel since she was already an avid reader. In three months she had completed a young adult Christian novel. That novel is currently being upgraded and will be out soon. Raven went back to school and received a Bachelor's in English with a Concentration in Fiction Writing, an MFA in Creative Writing with Certification in Online Teaching of Creative Writing, and is currently working on a master's degree in Marketing.
Raven's style
Raven enjoys blending genres for a well-rounded story that keeps readers wanting more. Creating inviting and relatable characters is her favorite part of creating a story. Raven writes clean, edgy fiction that blends suspense, romance, and mystery.
